This is defintely the place to come if you are thinking of going camping, engaging in some sort of other outdoor pursuit or simply going on holiday somewhere cold. They sell everything from camping products, to walking boots and thermal socks. Everytime I've visited the staff have always been patient, knowledgeable and friendly, particularly if I;ve not been exactly sure what I'm after. This shop shop is defintiely worth a visit if you're planning on camping etc.

Everything You Need
This shop is conveniently located in the centre of town. The doors are always left open so it looks welcoming and there are normally a range of displays to look at. Once inside, you are bound to find exactly what you need. I recently went in looking for thermals and came out weighted down by my reasonable priced purchase.

Cheap camping gear and knowledgable staff
I don't go camping or hiking much, a lot of walking and a lot of rain.
I'd say I'm more of hotel kind of guy.
However, after a colleague convinced me to go for a weekend in the Lake District, I was informed that a lot of preparation is needed!
Directed to Millets, the staff told me about everything I would need and directed me to the best price item for my budget. Boots, sleeping bags, tents, socks - everything!
I wouldn't have had a clue without their help, and would have likely frozen to death. I can't think of higher praise.By causus_belli at 05:09 on 30/04/10
