The Wig seems to have changed of late, with the pub doing more (and better!) food then they used to. They no longer have any live bands apparently which doesn't bother me so much as everywhere in Truro seems to have live music nowadays. They have a main pub menu and then specials on the board. We had a sharing plate to start and then two mains from the specials. With drinks we spent £30 which we thought was good value for two people, especially since the food was proper homemade rather then straight from the freezer. Def go again.

ReportAn OK place. They do quite a bit of music and that's what brings me there. If it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't go as it's a little out the way. The staff are friendly and the beer isn't too expensive. The outside seating area is nice.

With a lovely local feel to the pub the evening entertainment gives the pub a trendy vibe, with many people coming to eat off their delicious menu. Located in central Truro it is in the perfect place to pop in for a pint. The welcoming atmosphere would make anyone want to come.
A nice local pub that kind of sits somewhere between ''local'' and ''friendly''! I mean that in a good way! It has a warm atmosphere inside, and there is space outside to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Also, with it being out the front, you get to ''people watch'' as Truro carries on about you.

This pub manages to a chieve a rare thing; appeal to both student style (albeit, responsible) drinkers and families alike. They hold live music most weeks, which keeps the younger crowd entertained. The area downstairs where the music is played is relatively small, which means that the atmosphere is always lively. For families, food is served and the seating area outside is a lovely place to sit. No gimmicky food, no crazy drink deals. A good, honest pub.
