Choughed Cream Tea Event
Super, yummy, scones, cream and jam, Cornwall Blind Association has just launched its major fundraiser, “The Choughed Cream Tea” event at Truro Town Hall, courtesy of The Mayor of Truro, Cllr. Rob Nolan.
A variety of people representing various clubs, organisations and businesses from throughout Cornwall gathered to attend this inaugural event which the Cornwall Blind Association hopes will be cascaded amongst the wider community as a way of raising funds for this deserving cause whilst offering a delicious solution!
The charity would be really “Choughed” if as many people as possible from around Cornwall, would host a “Cream Tea” over the coming year! Whilst supporters help people pile on the pounds, they can benefit this worthy organisation by piling on their £££’s!
Whether through work, clubs, organisations or from home, the CBA envisage people choosing their date, They will then bake or purchase some scones, add a dollop of fine Cornish clotted cream, some delicious jam, gather their friends or colleagues, set a price, and magic they’ll have a scrumptious event!
Those who attended the The Mayor of Truro’s event were treated to a delightful blend of local produce! Baker Tom at Lemon Street Market generously provided the scones, whilst Roddas of Scorrier and Boddingtons Jam of Mevagissey kindly added the toppings!
