Town Survey UK Truro
As well talking with town councillors and local legends, hundreds of Truronians voted online as part of the town survey, giving their views on three distinct categories. Here's how they broke down...
What public service most needs to be improved in Truro?
With five options to choose from, there was one clear victor. With a full 50% of the vote, and despite the popularity of the western park and ride, it seems that most people thing Truro is in desperate need of Better Parking Facilities. Second (25%), people want more roadworks to remove the rise in potholes caused by the cold weather snap and third, people would like more dedicated green spaces and bench areas (13%).
Failing to take a podium finish, pulling together a combined total of 12% of the vote; more public toilets, more play areas and more litter patrols.
How would you rate Truro's local travel and public transport network?
Despite Twitter responses suggesting that 'Can't survive in Truro without a car' would be the clear victor, in the online poll it only managed second, with 33%. Instead, the top spot went to 'We need more cycling facilities', with 42%. In third, a simple depressing statement 'There's traffic gridlock all the time'.
What best describes Truro's shopping experience?
To end on a high note, the 37% winner in this poll suggests that most people think 'we have the right mix of independent retails and national chain shops'. In a tie for second, both with 21%, were 'we need more chain shops' and 'a regular market would bring in more business'.
Have your say.

Seems like a fair reflection, I agree with all of the answers that came out top in those polls
