Always Time for a Moonlight Memory Walk

Donna Lloyd from Mawnan Smith is proving that even when times are extremely tough there is still time to support Children's Hospice South West.
Donna has been through two traumatic years after being diagnosed with a Pituitary tumour and five potentially inoperable brain aneurisms. But despite everything Donna will be walking CHSW's Moonlight Memory Walk in Falmouth on the 21st September with her sister in laws.
Donna had huge support from her mother, Karen Trewin (nee Barter) through the "most horrific time" of her life, when she went through seven operations. Donna's mum and dad were there for Donna and her family, inviting Donna, her husband and three sons to move back in to the family home in Mawnan Smith to ease the stress. Karen was her rock and cared for Donna's three sons and husband offering them the stability, routine and reassurance that they needed.
Sadly Donna's mum died suddenly and unexpectedly on the 7th June this year.
Donna says "My sisters in law and I are taking part in the Moonlight Memory Walk in mum's memory to keep her memory alive".
During her lifetime, Karen was a huge supporter of CHSW and raised money every year with her Christmas lights display.
Their family, friends and businesses have already raised over £1300 for Children's Hospice South West since Donna's mum passed away and now Donna is taking on the challenge to raise as much money as possible for CHSW before her next surgery.
