A social enterprise set up to raise awareness of climate change and support vulnerable young people in Cornwall has launched a new range of services to support its work.

Nature Workshops, which is based at Porkellis in between Helston and Falmouth, is now hosting corporate events and grown up parties.

Money raised from the activities will be ploughed back into the organisation to help provide more support to groups of people including those with mental health problems, children with behavioural issues or young carers.

Nature Workshops' Jane Acton said: "The work we do with vulnerable people in Cornwall really does make a difference.

"We like to get them out of their normal environment, outdoors and tackling new challenges that can help build their understanding, confidence and self worth.

"The new corporate events and grown up parties will help us to generate more opportunities for those vulnerable people."

The team use woodlands, including Idless Woods near Truro and Cardinham Woods near Bodmin, and the seashore to teach people about foraging, making fire without matches, cooking over open fire, navigating using the natural world, snorkeling and exploring rock pools.

Jane added: "The events can be tailored for team building, as a grown up birthday party, or even as a stag or hen do that's different to the norm.

"We can arrange treasure hunts, quests and even a chance to go back to their childhood and build a den in the woods!"
