Pedestrian dies in collision near Truro

A man has died after being hit by a car near Truro in the early hours of this morning. It happened at around 12.30am this morning, on the A390 at Penstraze.

The male pedestrian was hit by a silver Kia Rio which was travelling towards Chiverton Cross. He died as a result of his injuries.

Police are now in the process of confirming the man's identity and informing his family.

The road was closed for six hours while investigations were carried out at the scene.
