Visitors to the Roseland now have a new resource thanks to a partnership between the Roseland Visitor Centre, St Just in Roseland Parish Council and Fal River Cornwall. (L-R) Tim Light (Fal River Cornwall), Cllr Chris Williams and Dawn Andrews (acting manager Roseland Visitor Centre)
The Roseland Visitor Centre, St Just in Roseland Parish Council and Fal River Cornwall have teamed up to provide a new wayfinding noticeboard between Tregony and St Mawes.
The board replaces the map at the Trenonna layby, which had fallen in to disrepair after it had been left for several years.
Chris Williams, St Just in Roseland Parish Councillor, said: "We're very pleased to have the new wayfinding noticeboard in place.
"The previous one had fallen into disrepair after been left for a number of years and it did not portray the welcome you'd want to give a visitor to the area.
"We decided the best way was to form a partnership between the three organisations to provide this facility that will help to improve the visitor experience."
The board features information about Tregony, Porthscatho, St Mawes, Veryan, Philleigh, St Just in Roseland and Ruan Lanihorne, as well highlighting the facilities on offer.
Fal River Cornwall's marketing manager, Toby Budd, who provided the area map, said: "Once again this shows that local organisations working in partnership can provide valuable resources for visitors to the area.
"The Roseland and the Fal River Cornwall are key destinations and its important people feel they are welcome and have all the information they need."
