Staff at Children's Hospice South West's (CHSW) 'hospice by the sea', Little Harbour, are delighted to announce that they will be continuing their monthly open days for supporters throughout 2014.

Since Little Harbour opened to families in December 2011 the Care and Fundraising teams have allowed the public access to the beautiful hospice on one day each month when essential maintenance and care team training takes place.

Tour days are the perfect opportunity for anyone who has supported the charity to get an insight into hospice life, see where their money goes and what their support is helping to achieve. A guided tour of the facilities available to families helps to give supporters a further understanding of how families with life limited children are supported and cared for at Little Harbour by CHSW.

A recent visitor to the children's hospice said "Little Harbour and what it represents is truly amazing. Everyone should see for themselves the wonderful care and facilities children and families are offered, a truly humbling experience".

If you haven't supported CHSW before you will certainly want to after being shown around the incredible facilities that Little Harbour houses. From the Jacuzzi to the multi-sensory room and soft play area, this home from home is one with a difference and one that any child and their family can enjoy whatever their illness.

Emma Lloyd, Head of Fundraising at Little Harbour says "Being able to show supporters around Little Harbour allows us to not only share this incredible landmark facility but also talk in greater depth about the difference those who support us can make to families in their local community - families going through unimaginable circumstances".

If you or your family, friends, colleagues, team or group are interested in having a tour of Little Harbour all you need to do is call Little Harbour Reception on 01726 871800 and book your place. Tours usually last about an hour and will be run by a staff member or CHSW volunteer.

Dates for Tour Days this spring are; Monday 3rd February, Monday 3rd March, Monday 7th April and Monday 12th May.

Call now to book your tour and see the wonderful place where every day the team helps families to make the most of short and precious lives and support families from diagnosis and referral to end of life care and bereavement support.
