Free week's bus travel for Penzance to Truro route passengers
By Em_Williams | Monday, March 11, 2013, 13:57
Passengers travelling on the number 14 and 18 buses between Penzance and Truro are being offered a week's free bus travel in return for taking part in a short survey.
The first 250 people to apply for the offer will receive a voucher entitling them to their free week's travel up to Sunday 25 March. Once the promotion has ended, those who have travelled for free will be asked to complete a short survey about recent improvements which have been made to bus shelters and stops along Cornwall's busiest bus route.
The Council has invested around £425,000 to install Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays at 37 bus stops along the route, which also includes new bus shelters at seven bus stops.
All First Devon and Cornwall buses serving the number 14 and 18 routes have been equipped with technology which links up with the RTPI displays to give the latest information on how far away the next bus is. Passengers can also look online to see in real time when the next three buses are due from their stop by visiting http://cornwall.acislive.com.
